Abstract Expressionism, Surrealism, Modernism & Conceptualism.
Her current paintings deals with the spiritualism in pattern (used as a narrative) based on her coastal and countryside ramblings. These are depicted in the form of abstract canvases with the occasional use of the figure, referencing human place within natural surroundings and the mindfulness in which nature provides.
Michelle’s images are mysterious in their settings, yet have a sense of the familiar about them, making her work accessible to all through encouragement of individual interpretation
Michelle is also an acclaimed illustrator. Her project 'The Daily Sketch' is in its 5th Year. A sketch a day is created then placed online for sale. This has become an important part of her artistic process and has attracted collectors of these small works all over the world with nearly 1800 sold.
